Professional Basement Waterproofing & Crawl Space Encapsulation in Gresham, OR

Water in the crawlspace can lead to mold, mud, and unhealthy air filtering up and into the home. This home had a simple 6 Mil vapor barrier installed years ago, but due to the amount of water this home experienced, this had led to pooling water rising above the barrier, creating caked on mud, and early signs of mold spores. The homeowners called up John's Waterproofing for a solution that could help them. 

To address their needs we began by removing the old vapor barrier and general debris from the space. We then installed a SuperSump Pump to collect the groundwater which grades towards it, and then sends the water safely out and away from the home to a LawnScape outlet. We the laid down CleanSpace. This 20 Mil woven barrier is inserted under each post, anchored along the walls and sealed into place. Next we sealed up the vents with new covers, and inserted a SaniDry dehumidifier to help the air be healthy. Our spray foam specialist then came out and insulated the foundation walls with a layer of spray foam. This home will be dry and healthy from here on out!

This basement had been finished, but never waterproofed. While there had been no water issues when it was finished, after years of the home settling and new construction happening around the home, water ended up finding a way into the home. There were now moldy spots on the drywall, and when the carpet was lifted up, more mold was found growing. The homeowners called us to come and waterproof the space so they could safely keep using their basement area. 

Our crew came out and removed the moldy portions of walls and carpeting. We then dug a trench along the interior walls and installed a WaterGaurd drainage system which graded the water to a newly installed TripleSafe sump pump. From here the water was safely diverted out and away from the home to a LawnScape outlet. We then installed ThermalDry wall panels to ensure moldy walls wouldn't be an issue as well as ThermalDry gray carpeting. 

The homeowners wanted to get their basement finished, while they wanted to do the finishing work themselves, they knew that it should be waterproofed by a professional so their handiwork would be protected. To get this handled properly they called on John's Waterproofing. 

To prep the space we began by installing our WaterGuard Drainage system. This is installed in a trench around the interior perimeter and collects the water under the foundation of the home. To keep the moisture content from the foundation walls from damaging the space we installed our ThermalDry Wall system, a foil-faced dimpled material that protects against water and also helps maintain the temperature of the basement to save on energy costs. This wall system works well under finished systems and also gives a clean unfinished look. To pump the water from the drainage system we installed a TripleSafe sump pump that diverts all water a safe distance from the home. The basement is now ready for the homeowners to finish. 

We do offer our Total Basement Finishing system for those who can't take on a finishing project themselves. 

This crawlspace in Gresham was full of water and moisture and mold was beginning to form on the posts of the foundation Aurthur called our team to solve the problem. 

Vincent gave him a free inspection in which he included a dry out so that our crews could install the system, a perimeter drainage system, a sump pump, and then finishing the space with our anti-microbial, 20-millimeter thick CleanSpace Encapsulation material. 

The crawlspace was left clear, clean, and healthy for decades to come. 

Robert hadn't been in the crawl space of his house for years and had become concerned about the safety of the space. He saw an ad for John's Waterproofing in the Oregonian, a local newspaper here in Oregon and gave us a call. Our Senior Inspector, Jake went out to take a look and noticed the crawl space had a lot of debris in it and that the humidity levels were high. 

Within just a few days the crews were at Robert's house and cleaning out the debris and old equipment that was in the crawl space including the insulation. They installed a SaniDry XP Dehumidifier to stop the moisture and humidity,  a new TripleSafe sump pump. The entire crawl space was encapsulated and finished off with Spray Foam insulation. 

Robert is thrilled that he now has a healthy crawl space that functions the way it should and will for many many years.

David and Jenny stopped by our booth at a Home and Garden Show with questions about the standing water they had in their crawl space. We gladly gave them an appointment with Design Specialist Vinny who went out to take a look and did find standing water and suggested a crawl encapsulation. Lupe and Fernando went out and after some plumbing repairs were able to install a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to help keep the crawl space dry. Then an encapsulation with CleanSpace was done. Now David and Jenny have a clean dry basement with properly functioning equipment that will work for many years. 

This crawlspace in Gresham was full of water and had an exceptionally high relative humidity. Due to the nearly 80% relative humidity in the crawlspace, the insulation in the crawlspace was falling and molding. Many of the beams were beginning to show wood rot which if not cared for could threaten the structural integrity of the home. 

Our team removed the water in the crawlspace and installed a drainage system to ensure that they will not have water issues again moving forward. The customer us when his sump pump started to flood his basement due to sediment buildup. The discharge line they had installed, cracked leaving them with a bigger mess than they ever imagined. 

We came and dried out the basement. Taking out the old sump pump and discharge line. So that we could install our system without any hiccups. Francisco and his crew dug a trench line along the parameter of the basement for the WaterGuard. 

To replace the old sump pump they installed the SuperSump pump. With a 1 1/2 inch discharge line. Ensuring that when they laid the concrete down no water would intrude the space again. Or cause any more damage, leaving the customer overjoyed with knowing they have storage space once again.
