Job Stories From Concrete, WA
Upgrade for the Crawl Space - Concrete, WA

When just a simple 6 mil vapor barrier is present in a crawl space, this can lead to issues for the home.  This homes main issue we from water levels running high, and the water would pool on top of the vape barrier.  Here it will stay until it can heat up and evaporate. From there the moisture can lead to mold, mildew, and rot. To keep their home in better condition, the owners of the home contacted John's Waterproofing.  To level up this space we would install a pipe, pump, and plastic. We pulled out the old vapor barrier and debris.  Next we dug a trench around the interior perimeter of the space.  Within this, we installed a perferated pipe in a silt sock.  This collects the water and channels it to the lowest point. From there the water enters a TripleSafe Sump pump and than flows through a discharge line safely away from the homes foundation. A new 6 mil vapor barrier is than laid down, with edges overlapping and run up the wall to help it stay in place.
