This older home experienced short circuiting when some of their outlets were being used. They were sick of having to keep track of how much was plugged in, and which items were in use or else the breakers would switch off. They ended up hearing that John's had an electrical division online and decided to see what we could do to help them. One of our electricians went out and ended up installing three new breakers so that all of the electrical outlets would be unburdened. At some point new outlets had been installed into the existing lines, which was over powering the breakers. With these new breakers added in, the homeowner can use all of their outlets as they intend to, without burdening the system. The homeowner is thrilled to have the work done and know that they no longer need to keep track of which electronics are in use at one time. 

This homeowner had crawled under their home and discovered mushrooms growing under their 6 Mil vapor barrier. While they didn't notice standing water, the fungi growth was a sign that something would need to be done. They called up John's Waterproofing after seeing an ad in a local magazine, and scheduled their free inspection. After discussing options to address their below-grade space, they decided to move forward with a full encapsulation. 

To begin, our crew removed the old vapor barrier, the fiberglass that was present, and the debris from under the home. We then installed a full drainage system, while water pooling hadn't been present, the fungi was a big sign that water was still oversaturating the ground. The drainage system will collect groundwater and send it along to a TripleSafe sump pump that we installed in the lowest spot. We then laid down TerraBlock insulation and SilverGlo insulation along the foundation walls. Next we laid down CleanSpace, a 20 Mil vapor barrier with woven fibers to reinforce the material, and deter critters. This goes under each wooden post, anchors along the walls and is fully sealed into place. A SaniDry dehumidifier was installed to keep the humidity levels under control and the space was air sealed. This crawlspace will now be dry and healthy. 

These homeowners called up John's Waterproofing to get some help with plumbing. They were doing a kitchen remodel and this included moving where their sink and dishwasher would be. They would have the old counters pulled out and the new ones set in place, they just wanted the plumbing pipes moved properly. Our plumbers went out, measured how things would be moved and moved the pipes for both the kitchen sink and dishwasher. After things were moved, the work was checked out, and with everything set up, the homeowners were pleased. It was quick and easy work for our experienced plumbers. 

This homeowner had us do the waterproofing on their crawlspace years ago. They had been happy with the results and did a great job at staying up to date on their annual service visits. This was how they ended up mentioning that they were looking to upgrade their refrigerator and wanted to have a built in ice maker and water dispenser installed. Their service tech happily told them about our plumbing department. Since the homeowners like our waterproofing, they decided to call us up when they had this new plumbing need. 

Our plumbers arrived and installed a brand new water line to the refrigerator they had purchased. This line was run through the crawlspace, up and into the kitchen. Since the refrigerator was already there, we were able to hook it up completely and have it up and running before we left. 

This old home had a funky bathroom set up, and the homeowner wanted to remodel to make the room more user friendly. However they were not comfortable moving the plumbing fixtures, and called up John's Waterproofing plumbing division. Our licensed plumbers arrived and began by removing the old metal piping. They then installed updated PVC pipes. The shower piping was extended to heighten the showerhead. They then changed out the bathroom faucet fixtures and the homeowners were so happy with the bathroom updates!

Water heaters have become more energy-efficient over the years, and the homeowners here were ready for an upgrade. Their old water heater was costly and outdated. They purchased a new one from a store but were nervous about installing it, so they called in John's Waterproofing. 

Our plumbers came out and turned off the waterline, and began by safely removing the old water heater. We then moved the new energy-efficient water heater into place and hooked the system up. Once we were done, we turned on the water and tested the system to ensure everything was installed properly. The homeowners were very excited to have their new water heater!   

The homeowner called when they discovered that many of the wooden pillars under their house were floating a good inch or two off of the dirt flooring. Seems when another company came out to waterproof their crawlspace this was overlooked and the plastic they used was just rolled under the pillars but never fixed. The space was also never properly finished, the black plastic that was used was never secured and was pulled away from the concrete walls in many places causing a lot of debris to be found, definitely had a critter crawling around, leaving a mess and trying to burrow in the insulation found here as well. Overall the home was in need of help!

To get started, the install crew removed the old plastic and cleared away the debris. A trench perimeter was dug out and we added in WaterGuard piping leading to a SuperSump Pump that we installed. This would allow any water a safe way to leave the crawlspace should any creep in. We also replaced four of the posts that were under the house and installed 3 new ones to help where the house had damage since the old pillars had not been giving any structural support. To cover up the dirt floor and encapsulate the pillars we added in a 6 Mil vapor barrier to keep water and vapor out. 

With the home now waterproofed and structurally sound, the homeowners were happy and able to rest easy knowing their home was taken care of.
