This home had a small section of finished basement, with their stairway going past the entryway to their crawlspace. The crawlspace had a simple vapor barrier, but the added moisture that was still creeping in was causing mold to take over the stairway and was working into the rest of the basement. To fix up the home we added a drainage system in the crawlspace and graded this to a new TripleSafe sump pump in the basement. Our crew laid down a new 6 Mil vapor barrier and a new SaniDry dehumidifier to stop mold and mildew from occurring.

Job Stories From Estacada, OR
Below Grade Windows Leaking into the Basement - Estacada, OR

A homeowner called, unhappy that water was coming into their two basement bedrooms. The rest of the basement was unfinished. A System Designer was sent to the home and he was able to discern that the problem was coming from the 2 large egress windows found in the bedrooms. Although he suggested a full perimeter system, the homeowner opted for only doing the bedrooms where problems were present. She was assured that the system could be added onto at a later date if needed.

When the installation crew arrived, they removed the drywall where the egress windows were and found water stains. A trench was created by removing 6" of concrete along the area and WaterGuard, an award-winning drain system specifically designed for basements was placed then covered with concrete. The WaterGuard terminated at a TripleSafe sump pump in the space between the rooms and discharged out and attached to the rain drain system for removal of the water. WellDucts were installed to catch the overflow from the egress window wells and tucked into the flange in the back of the WaterGuard. ThermalDry Wall was also tucked into the WaterGuard to protect the space from moisture from the foundation as well as providing insulation. Our finishing team arrived a few days later and repaired the wall and it was refinished.

Finished Basement has Water Issues around Window Well - Estacada, OR

This home's basement had been finished a few years prior by a general contractor, but the homeowners noticed that water was coming in around the window well that had been installed in the bedroom. Because of this, a water stain was showing up, and the wall was smelling musty. To solve this issue, the homeowners called in John's Waterproofing.

Our crew began by removing the damaged portions of the home, this included the carpeting in the bedroom, the drywall from two walls, and the old window well. We then installed a new window, well, and a good duct to ensure water was properly diverted. We then installed a WaterGaurd system in the basement to collect water and direct it to a new TripleSafe sump pump. To give this space insulation that could withstand water we then installed our Thermal Dry insulation along the walls to be finished over by the homeowners.

Groundwater Flowing Through a Crawlspace in Estacada, OR

This home was experiencing a good flow of water under their home during heavy rains that lead to mud and wet conditions. They wanted to help control the water situation so their foundation would be protected, so the homeowners called John's Waterproofing.

Our crew started by removing the debris from under the home. We then installed a three-inch perforated pipe system to help groundwater flow to the newly installed SuperSump with UltraSump pump backup. This new system will work together to divert water through designated pathways safely away from the home. We then installed a 6 Mil vapor barrier to the crawlspace.

Estacada, OR - Standing Water in Crawlspace

The home was recently built and no waterproofing system was put into place when the home was created. However, after the crazy weather that accompanies Oregon's rainy season, the homeowners found standing water throughout their crawlspace. To protect their new home, they wanted a full crawlspace encapsulation.

We came in and began by clearing an general debris that was under the house. We installed a UltraSump under the home since so much water had been evident when the rains hit. An interior drainage trench was placed as well so that all the water could be diverted and a line was dug out and away from the homes foundation. We then installed Cleanspace to fully encapsulate the area.

The home is now waterproofed and ready for whatever weather Oregon has to offer, and the family can rest easy that their investment is well protected.

Leaky Basement Walls in Estacada, OR

This homeowner was interested in selling his home and wanted to ensure that his basement would no longer have water intrusion. Water was entering through pores within the concrete walls, creating an unhealthy, damp, and unusable space. After inspection, our inspector, Larry suggested installing our patented WaterGuard System, a new vapor barrier, and a Super Sump pump.

Manuel and his team quickly set out to waterproof Scott's basement and make it dry for the new homeowners. They installed WaterGuard, our patented drain system which collects water from basement walls and drains it to the Super Sump pump that was also installed. The Super Sump was connected with an Ultra Sump back up battery which ensures that should the power go out, the Sump pump will continue to work.

Once our systems were in place, Scott no longer had to worry about water entering his basement. And he could enter the sale of his home confident that his basement will be dry and healthy for many years to come!
