Mold infested the depths of this crawl space, so the homeowners knew who they wanted to treat it. John's Waterproofing sent out our Design Specialist to inspect the exterior and interior of the house and crawl space to find any other problems that had be brewing. The crawl space was comparable to a swamp, mud and water everywhere, creating the fungus underneath their home. The owners wanted immediate changes, so they scheduled a date to start this project.  Starting the project, our crew began to clean and dry out the crawl space to be able to set up everything within the interior. The first installment was the 3 inch perf pipe that is put in surrounding the perimeter, meant to collect and guide the water to the lowest point of the crawl space, containing a brand new TripleSafe. This is the finest option for a sump pump containing 3 pumps, capable to handle any level of water. It accumulates all collected water and pumps it into the attached discharge line, pushing the water outside of the home.  For the dirt floors, we added TerraBlock, a durable long-lasting insulation that is designed to help combat the needs of a crawl space. It includes a vapor barrier for moisture protection and is puncture resistant. On top of the TerraBlock, we place CleanSpace to permanently separate the house from the ground. When combined with other products, it lowers humidity, eliminates mold, and is bright and sleek to be able to easily see no mold growth or dirt! After we finished sealing in the CleanSpace, we move on to the vents that are welcoming in outside air and debris. The crew installed vent covers to shut out that opportunity and aid towards decreasing humidity levels and remaining clean. The foundation walls are still in need of insulation, so they apply Spray Foam to fill every space and void with an 100% air seal. Cold, warm, and moist air will be unable to penetrate through this barrier, reducing any energy bills. Finally, the powerful SaniDry Sedona is installed as the most efficient high performance dehumidifier in the world. It filters and dries all air in the crawl space during any season. This is the ultimate solution for wanting healthy indoor air and keeping a safe level of humidity. The owners were pleased with the completed project, and to no longer house a moldy swamp under their home.
