A home in Gates needed more than a quick fix below the floors. Its crawl space was exposed to moisture, temperature swings, and outside air that can affect the comfort and protection of the home above. We transformed the space from a vulnerable area into a clean, sealed, and controlled environment. With a full encapsulation using TerraBlock and CleanSpace, stronger insulation with SilverGlo, humidity control from a SaniDry Sedona, a SmartDrain for added water protection, and a new, heavy-duty EverLast crawl space door. This crawl space is now stronger and more protected than ever before. This home is finally cleaner and more comfortable, helping prevent problems before they start.

Musty, Dirty Crawl Space

This crawl space was covered in insulation and debris, with rodent droppings and rising humidity levels.

Old Crawl Space Entry Door

This faulty, old crawl space entry needed to be updated before more outside air, rodents, pests, and water could intrude any further.

EverLast Crawl Space Door

An EverLast door was installed, sealing airtight to the foundation while allowing easy access to the crawl space if needed.

SmartDrain

A SmartDrain was installed in place of a sump pump. SmartDrains are perfect for homes without severe water intrusion, but they will catch any minor leaks. If water is detected, the WaterWatch alarm will go off, alerting homeowners.

SilverGlo

SilverGlo panels were installed along the foundation walls to help keep the crawl space insulated and comfortable year-round. Impregnated with graphite, the panels reflect heat back into the crawl space, helping maintain more consistent temperatures throughout the home while improving heating and cooling efficiency and lowering energy bills.

Wrapped Support Post Footings

By wrapping the home's support footings with CleanSpace, water and moisture are kept away from the wood posts, helping prevent rot and keeping the home's supports protected.

Crawl Space Encapsulation

The crawl space is completely sealed off from the outside world with TerraBlock, a thick foam insulation, and CleanSpace, a 20-mil vapor barrier, on top. This creates a cleaner, drier, more controlled space beneath the home, helping protect the home from moisture, mold, rodents, and the everyday problems that come with an open crawl space.
