In order to waterproof this crawl space, we installed our tried and true, Pipe, Pump, Plastic system. First, our crew cleaned out the entire space - removing the dirty, old vapor barrier, and all other debris beneath the home. Next, we dug a shallow, narrow trench along the full interior perimeter of the space, to hold our 3" Perforated Piping. From now on, as ground water infiltrates the crawl space, it will be caught in the piping, and routed to a SuperSump Pump installed at the lowest point. Once water reaches the Pump, it will be expelled far away from the home via an underground discharge line. At the end of the discharge line, a LawnScape Outlet was placed, to evenly disperse the water into the lawn, rather than creating a puddle. The final step in the installation of our PPP System, was the placement of a fresh, 6 Mil Vapor Barrier, to cover the entire dirt floor, as well as the foundation walls, preventing water from seeping in. This crawl space is now professionally waterproofed, which will protect the home from the devastating effects of water damage, while also creating a healthier air quality within the home.
