These homeowners wanted to make use of their basement, utilizing it for dry storage and a utility room. This dream was hindered when they found water leakage and damage on the floor and were unsure of how to fix it. They called John's Waterproofing to solve the problem. We sent a design specialist off to the home and see what was going on. They inspected the exterior and interior to see the full picture and then collaborated with the homeowners to create a plan.
After deciding on a plan and a date to complete it, we sent the crew out and they got straight to work. They began to remove excess water to have a clean start and then proceeded to install the WaterGuard. This top tier drain system will keep any basement dry and waterproofed while not causing any clogging. A pipe is set up around the perimeter that will collect any water that enters and drain it to the newly installed sump pump, the TripleSafe. The TripleSafe is the ultimate pump to keep water away and keep the basement protected. Inside the basin, it contains three pumps to be able to handle any level of water. The water will enter the TripleSafe and then will be redirected outside of the house through an attached discharge line. Another product we installed to reduce the risk of water entering was a Rain Drain. This will capture any water at exterior windows or doors before they get the chance to seep in. We also installed a SaniDry dehumidifier to remove excess moisture from the air. The last step for this basement was to add CleanSpace onto the interior walls to eliminate moisture from penetrating inside and present a sleeker look. CleanSpace is a white liner that will fight against mold, moisture, and looks great on unfinished walls. The crew finished the project and left the owners happy with a waterproofed basement. The homeowners were now able to turn their dry basement into usable space!
