Photo Album: Professional Sealing and Waterproofing of Crawl Space - Bellingham, WA
John's proudly offers professional encapsulation throughout Oregon and Washington. For over 50 years, we have specialized in the waterproofing industry, and have helped thousands of families thrive in dry, clean, and stable homes. Our encapsulated crawl spaces permanently protect homes and families from the devastating effects of water damage, and with proper yearly maintenance, will last the life of the home.
When encapsulating a crawl space, we first remove all debris, leaving a nice clean space. After cleaning out the space, we get right to work on installing each of the professional-grade, heavy-duty components. First, a SuperSump Pump is installed, to rapidly expel all ground water intrusion beneath the Encapsulation, far away from the home via an underground discharge line. At the end of the discharge line, a LawnScape Outlet is placed to ensure even distribution of water at the expulsion site. Following this, the ground is covered with 2 layers of insulation and waterproofing: TerraBlock and CleanSpace. TerraBlock insulates the dirt floor, and then CleanSpace is placed over the top, as well as up onto the concrete foundation walls - to prevent water from seeping in. To insulate along the foundation walls, SilverGlo panels are placed. SilverGlo paneling is waterproof, and double-sided, keeping moisture out while also reflecting heat back into homes. A SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier is then installed within the space, to clean and filter the air, removing all allergens, while maintaining a safe relative humidity to prevent mold growth. Finally, all original vents, openings, and doors are sealed shut and checked for snug seals, to prevent rodents and debris from entering. This crawl space is now 100% air-tight and waterproof, offering peace of mind to the family as well added useable square footage to the home, as John's encapsulated crawl spaces are durable, and can be safely used as dry storage. Very Dirty Crawl Space
Hanging and fallen subfloor insulation are sure signs that moisture has invaded your crawl space, as the weight of that collected moisture inside of the insulation is causing it to sag and fall.
Water Stains Around Crawl Space Access Door
Water staining on concrete foundation walls indicates that water is entering the space through the walls. This can greatly threaten the stability of the home, as well as the health of the air quality both in the crawl space and inside of the home.
Encapsulated Crawl Space!
John's professionally encapsulated crawl spaces create bright, welcoming areas that are conducive to the health and longevity of the home and the family.
SuperSump Pump
Our heavy-duty SuperSump Pumps ensure that your crawl space, and all encapsulation components remain protected from water damage.
Underground Sump Pump Discharge Line
All collected water intrusion beneath the home will be collected in the SuperSump Pump inside the crawl space, and then routed to this underground discharge line, to be expelled far away from the home.
