Photo Album: Unfinished Basement Leaking - Salem, OR
The daylight basement in this home would continuously leak in the unfinished part. The homeowner wanted to find a solution that would be able to stop the water intrusion before more damage could occur. They decided to call John's Waterproofing about their options and we informed them of our basement waterproofing system. This begins by installing a proper drainage system using WaterGuard. This goes along the interior perimeter and at the footing of the basement. It's purpose is to be able to collect any water that tries to seep through and offer a safe passageway to flow through instead of getting into the basement. The WaterGuard then connects to a SuperSump Plus sump pump which takes all the collected water and pushes it out of the basement and away from the homes foundation. With these two working together to keep the basement dry, then we needed to add protection to the basement walls. We opted to install BrightWall because this was an unfinished space and the white paneling it is made out of helps to offer homeowners a semi-finished look that will stay dry. It helps to guide moisture from the walls down below to the drainage system to be pushed out. Once this entire basement waterproofing system is installed, then the homeowner gets to enjoy all the benefits that come with having a dry and healthy basement.
