Photo Album: Finished Basement Needs Waterproofing in Seattle, WA
When this finished basement started showing signs of water damage, the homeowners knew they would need to get a solution in place. They called up John's Waterproofing and scheduled their free inspection and estimate. To address the space fully we would begin the job by removing the damaged portions of the walls. Once the space was prepped we than dug a trench around the interior perimeter of the space. Here we installed out WaterGuard drain system. This will collect water and channel it to a sump pump to be sent away from the homes foundation. ThermalDry radiant vapor barrier is installed along the foundation walls next, this is both a vapor barrier and provides a thermal break to help regulate the spaces temperature. To complete the waterproofing we installed a SaniDry dehumidifier. Next our finishing crew arrived. They finished framing the exterior walls of the space again. We then installed our ThermalDry wall systems which will not mold or rot. We also installed our ThermalDry wood flooring, which will not mold or rot either, setting this space up to truly remain dry, stable, and healthy all year round.
