The first type of insulation used is TerraBlock. This is a 3/4 inch thick foam that goes along the crawl space floor. It seals the home off from the earth and improves energy efficiency by keeping the temperature the same all year. This way the heating/cooling systems don't have to work as hard to keep up with the changing outdoor climate. To complete the crawl space insulation in an encapsulation, we apply spray foam insulation along the foundation walls. This is a material that expands to fit into every crack or crevice. It's function ensures that the crawl space is completely air sealed and insulated.
