This homes foundation was cracked and leaking, causing issues in the Crawlspace. We did a full encapsulation to solve this water issue.
This homeowner noticed a nasty odor coming from the crawlspace. They glanced through the exterior entrance and found the issue. After speaking to some neighbors they opted to call up John's Waterproofing for a full encapsulation.
A finished basement with a water issue can be a very big deal. This homes finished basement had damp carpeting, and the space smelled damp most of the year. To get to the bottom of the issue, and protect this space in their home, the owners contacted John's Waterproofing. We did a full inspection and than worked with the owners to map our a repair plan. To begin we dug a trench around the interior perimeter of the basement. Within this we installed our WaterGuard drain system. This system will collect water and channel it to the lowest point. From here the water enters a TripleSafe sump pump and is pumped away from the homes foundation through a discharge line. The WaterGuard is than covered over with concrete to protect the system. Each below grade window was than set up with its own drain system, allowing water that is collected in the window well to be directed through the wall, down to the WaterGuard system. Since the space would be finished, we than installed ThermalDry radiant vapor barrier along the foundation walls. This is a vapor barrier as well as a thermal break for the space, allowing it to better maintain its temperature. We than finished the protect with a SaniDry dehumidifier to address any excess moisture in the air. Now this space is set up to be refinished and the owners can enjoy some peace of mind, knowing their basement is protected.
