Here is new construction that we waterproofed starting with Paraseal. Paraseal is a multi-layer sheet membrane consisting of a self-sealing, expandable layer of bentonite offering superior protection to your foundation and walls.
This home office was cold and smelled musty. The homeowner wanted to create a healthy space for them to work, so it was time to upgrade. We did a WaterGuard drainage system, a TripleSafe sump pump, and BrightWall panels.
When your crawl space is the starting base with the health of your home it becomes an important component. This crawl space had sagging insulation and musty smells that could be detected within the first floor of the home. The homeowners knew it couldn't be healthy and saw our article about how 50% of the air you breathe in your home comes from your crawl space. Our inspector went out and saw moisture was being absorbed into the fiberglass insulation which caused it to be weighed down and in some places actually fall off. We cleaned out the debris and did a crawl space encapsulation to prevent this level of moisture from happening ever again. Our encapsulations are done with a vapor barrier called CleanSpace and is 20 mils thick and stop mold growth underneath. The change in the quality of air was more than worth it to the homeowner and now their crawl space is protected for the life of the home.
This homes crawlspace smelled like mold and was to tight for the homeowner to inspect on their own. We sent out a Design Specialist who found the crawlspace to have high humidity content, and the old fiberglass had mold spores growing within it. We did a full encapsulation to transform this space into a dry and healthy environment.
The customers had a raccoon visit their home in the spring. Which ended up in the vapor barrier and insulation being torn to pieces.
