This homes crawlspace was no longer up to code as the home had settled. To address the space properly we dug out the space about 8 inches, and installed an encapsulation to have this home dry and healthy!
This overlooked crawlspace was a mess. When the homeowners learned that poor air quality in the home could be exasperating lung issues to the occupants of their home, they were ready for a solution. With two kids suffering from asthma and allergies, they were eager to help out however they could. To help them on their quest for clean air, we did a full encapsulation and they also purchased an Aspen air purifier to help keep their home healthy!
This homes crawl space was in poor condition. From water heavy fiberglass insulation to a ripped and torn old vapor barrier. The space was emitting a damp and musty odor which was permeating into the homes living spaces. Knowing these couldn't be a healthy thing for their home they knew they would benefit from a waterproofing system. So they called up John's Waterproofing and scheduled their free inspection. After doing a full inspection we went over options, landing on a full encapsulation to protect the space fully. This involves installing a full drain system, sump pump, proper insulation, CleanSpace vapor barrier, as well as a dehumidifier. This system will be able to control the crawl space environment to keep the space dry and healthy.
This basement had a water leak that began to mold. To solve the issue we installed a TripleSafe sump pump, SaniDry dehumidifier, and BrightWall paneling.
It is a shame when you have a great house and this potential space that you could do something great with but water and humidity prevent you from using the space at all. Here at John's, we have a wide array of products specifically designed for basement living. We will help you get from Basement to Beautiful.
