The wooden posts under your home are important, they add stability and keep your home in place. When water comes into contact with the wood itself, a plethora of issues can occur. This homes crawlspace had a calcium deposit issue within the soil, and some of the wooden posts were sitting in the mud, their footings covered in mud. To address this issue so the home would be safe, we replaced those posts with SmartJacks and did a full encapsulation.
This homes crawl space had a muddy mess under the old vapor barrier. When having to go under the house, the vapor barrier squishes down and slips out of place. The homeowner wanted the space cleaned up and made easier travel through. They used the space for a small storage area where the ceiling was higher, and they wanted this to be easier. They called up John's Waterproofing to learn about encapsulation.
This crawl space was soaking wet! Our crew worked in inches of water and mud to get this crawl space dry and looking great!
This crawlspace's old vapor barrier was encased in mud and was a very damp feeling. To solve this water issue we did a full crawlspace encapsulation and installed Four SmartJacks to reinforce the structure of the home where wood rot had caused damage.
Fiberglass Insulation absorbs moisture from the air and holds onto it, causing it to fall to pieces and curate a good environment for mold spores to grow. To fix this issue, a crawlspace encapsulation is needed. We cleared out this crawlspace, applied Mold X as needed and encapsulated the space with a drainage system, TripleSafe sump pump, TerraBlock insulation, CleanSpace, Spray Foam insulation, and a SaniDry dehumidifier.
