The crawlspace access was originally located in a bedroom closet of the home. To make easier access and avoid having to enter the home during services, we have the option to cut the concrete on the exterior of the home and install a Turtl. The Turtl is a great option for an exterior entryway to the crawlspace as it has a lockable door and seals tight to keep the water out and helps to deter critters. This After photo is a work in progress, the crew still had to complete the final interior portion of crawlspace and clean up.
This homes crawlspace had water leaking in through the walls. To address this, the homeowner was looking for a full encapsulation to keep the water out!
This homes crawl space had some musty odors wafting up into the home. Unable to crawl under the home himself, the homeowner called up John's Waterproofing for a free inspection. We took photos and showed the homeowner the layer of dust and grime that was under the home, as well as evidence of critter activity. To keep the space healthy we cleared it out, installed a drainage system, TerraBlock, CleanSpace, and air sealed the space. We finished up with a SaniDry dehumidifier and new EverLast exterior doorway.
Waterproof paint can offer a short term solution to deter water from entering the basement. But as water pressure pushes against the paint, it will begin to bubble and crack. Once water comes through, then water is once again in the basement. This home was dealing with this issue and the owners of the home were eager to have full access to their basement again. For an actual solution, the owners of the home connected with John's Waterproofing. To begin on this homes waterproofing solution we dug a trench along the interior perimeter of the basement. Within this we laid a bed of gravel and our WaterGuard drain system. This will collect water and channel it to the lowest point of the basement where a TripleSafe sump pump can then direct the water away from the home via a discharge line. Along the walls we than installed out CleanSpace Wall system, which safely ensures water makes it down the walls into the WaterGuard. Now the owners of the home can rest easy knowing their basement will remain dry, stable, and healthy.
We installed our Waterguard system and Thermaldry wall system in this Eddyville basement to keep it dry and warm for years to come.
