This owner had a contractor doing some work in the crawl space. When they emerged, they let the owners know that there were signs of water damage present, specifically along the material with the fiberglass. They were referred over to John's Waterproofing to learn about options. To did a full inspection and than sat down to discuss what was happening, and we than worked on finding a repair plan that would fit their budget. We begin we had to clear the space out, removing the old vapor barrier, debris, and the fiberglass from the subfloor. Once cleared out, we spot treated for mold along the subfloor where the water had been held stagnant against the wood. We than dug a trench along the interior perimeter, within this we installed a perforated pipe within a silt sock. Groundwater will be able to accumulate within this and be direct to the lowest point. From there the water enters a TripleSafe sump pump to be pumped away from the homes foundation through a discharge line, and out of a LawnScape outlet. A new 6 Mil vapor barrier was laid out as the final step, we overlap the edges and anchor it into place to help protect the crawl space.
