Water Intrusion in Crawl Space - Lincoln City, OR

This home had been vacated and was for sale. Than the rains hit and the crawl space flooded. The sellers were worried about how this would affect the sale, so they contacted John's Real Estate Response Team to get a free inspection and see what we could do to help. To get the space up and ready for sale we would install a pipe, pump, and plastic. We began by drying out the space, making it so we could continue our work. A trench was than dug around the interior perimeter, in which we lay a perforated pipe in a silt sock. Water can now collect into the pipe and channel to the lowest point of the crawl space. From there, water enters a TripleSafe sump pump and is directed safely away from the homes foundation. We than complete the project with a new 6 Mil vapor barrier, which we anchor along the foundation walls, and overlap the edges to ensure the space is better protected in the years to come. Now this homes crawl space is ready for sale, and the sellers don't have to stress about a hold up.
