Exposed Earth Underneath Home - Redmond, OR

These homeowners got an inspection done by John's Waterproofing and our Design Specialist broke the news to them about what they found inside their crawl space. The existing vapor barrier was torn, exposing the earth, dirt was everywhere, and letting moisture seep into the crawl space. The owners and the Design Specialist came up with a plan to solve these issues.

The scheduled day came and so did our crew, ready to make the repairs. First they began with removing all dirt, debris, and the non functional vapor barrier. They proceeded with the pipe, pump, plastic system to restore the state of the crawl space. Starting with the pipe. A perforated pipe was installed around the perimeter of the interior, collecting water that will lead to the lowest point of the crawl space, where the SuperSump Plus is stationed. This is a sump pump that will gather the water into the container and pump it through the attached discharge line to release the water safely away from the home. Lastly, they lay down a new vapor barrier, the 6 Mil black plastic. This clean plastic will keep moisture out of the crawl space and provide a fresh look without dirt and debris. Now that the crawl space is waterproofed and pristine, the owners are happy with their safe, dry, and clean home!
