With every step in the living room, the floor bounced, and the surrounding doors would stick in their frames. This Mulino home was slowly suffering and needed support quickly. Homeowners reached out to John's Waterproofing for a free inspection, and we scheduled to send someone out. When one of our Design Specialists came out to check out the home, the problem couldn't go unnoticed. Down in the crawl space, several wooden support posts were floating. When the home's support posts shift and begin to float, they no longer provide the stability needed to support the structure above. We drew up a plan alongside the homeowners, and the project was soon underway. 

Our Structural Experts arrived at the home and got to work right away. Each floating post was systematically removed from the crawl space. Then, the crew installed a total of 40 SmartJacks throughout the crawl space, providing permanent and reliable support to the home. SmartJacks are galvanized steel posts that attach to the wooden beams on the subfloor and can be adjusted to the perfect fit needed in the crawl space. The home was finally lifted back into place and given the support it needed. Now, the homeowners can enjoy their home without feeling the floor beneath them sink.
