Improper Support Posts
Instead of correct supports, this home was resting on nothing but pieces of wood stacked on top of each other. These makeshift supports were untrustworthy, offered little stability, and were replaced with SmartJacks.
Old Crawl Space Entryway
This crawl space exterior access was wide open, which allowed moisture, dirt, and rodents to enter, however and whenever they pleased. It was replaced with a tightly sealed EverLast access door.
Torn Vapor Barrier
This original vapor barrier was torn to shreds, which left the crawl space vulnerable to excess moisture and humidity. Without a durable and reliable barrier, these conditions can lead to mold growth and wood rot.
SaniDry Sedona
A SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed to control humidity year-round. It maintains the crawl space at 55% relative humidity which helps prevent mold growth and improves the air quality in the home.
SmartJacks
Fifteen SmartJacks, adjustable steel piers, were installed throughout the crawl space to permanently stabilize the home and lift it right back to where it's supposed to be.
CleanSpace, TerraBlock, & Spray Foam
TerraBlock insulation was installed across the floor to help regulate temperatures, then covered with CleanSpace vapor barrier to seal out moisture and humidity. On the walls, SprayFoam was applied, which expanded into every crack and crevice, stopping outside air and moisture from getting in. These together create a more energy-efficient, cleaner, and drier crawl space that protects the home from the ground up.
