This home was suffering from a rodent and pest invasion, as they were finding their way in through vent covers and making homes in the fiberglass insulation. Homeowners noticed trails of feces leading towards their crawl space and urgently called John's Waterproofing. We came out for a free inspection and quickly devised a budget friendly plan with the homeowners.
The day arrived to kick off the project, and it started with the removal of all debris down under. The old vapor barrier, rodent droppings, and soiled insulation were all taken care of. Next, heavy-duty vent covers were installed on the exterior vents of the home, blocking out all unwanted visitors. After that, hardware cloth was attached throughout the crawl space, over the vents for added protection against pests and rodents. Lastly, a fresh 6-mil vapor barrier was laid across the dirt floor, wrapped around the home's support post footings, and overlapping the foundation walls, ensuring ground moisture can't rise up into the crawl space. Thanks to John's Waterproofing, the homeowners no longer need to worry about those pesky guests having easy access to this space.
