Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Sealing Out the Moisture - Marysville, WA
Little did the homeowners know, their crawl space in Marysville was silently suffering. During a home show, John's Waterproofing's work caught their eye, and they decided to inquire about a free inspection. When our team arrived to check it out, they knew the homeowners had made the decision just in time before more severe issues began to arise. Exterior vents and a faulty entry door were letting water and outside air into the crawl space, creating a damp, musty environment that could soon affect the home above. We drew up a plan with the homeowners and got to work.
Our waterproofing crew arrived at the home, ready to encapsulate the crawl space and waterproof it for good. After clearing everything out and making a clean slate, we dug a trench along the crawl space perimeter and inserted a Perf Pipe to collect excess water and direct it to the sump pump. Next, a TripleSafe sump pump was installed to pump the collected water out and away from the home. Humid, musty outside air would no longer be an issue with the addition of a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. The walls were addressed with the installation of SilverGlo wall panels, which help reflect heat back into the crawl space and allow for more efficient heating and cooling throughout the home. Then, TerraBlock, a thick foam insulation, and its partner, CleanSpace, a durable 20-mil vapor barrier, were anchored to the floor. To finish the sealing of the crawl space, heavy-duty vent covers and an EverLast crawl space door were installed. This once damp and vulnerable crawl space is now clean, dry, and protected.

SilverGlo Wall Panels
SilverGlo panels are installed along the foundation walls. They are impregnated with graphite and ensure optimal reflection of heat back into the space, all the while sending water that may seep through the walls down to the Perf Pipe. CleanSpace vapor barrier overlaps onto these walls for additional protection.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
A TripleSafe sump pump was installed to pump collected water out of the home with the help of a discharge line. This system is our #1 choice for defense against water intrusion, as it features two automatic pumps and one backup pump.
