A free inspection from John's quickly turned into a critical project when our Design Specialists found a hidden lake pooling beneath this Corvallis home. The water had risen above the existing vapor barrier, leaving the crawl space vulnerable to serious moisture and structural issues. It was clear that a complete encapsulation was just what this home needed to protect it for years to come. The project started by drying out the entire space. All standing water was removed, along with the old vapor barrier and accumulated debris. Next, a Perf Pipe drainage system was installed in a trench dug along the crawl space perimeter to capture incoming water and divert it to the sump pump. A SuperSump Plus was then installed to collect water and send it away from the home. With the drainage system ready to go, SilverGlo wall panels were installed along the foundation walls to help reflect heat back into the crawl space. Then came TerraBlock and CleanSpace. This encapsulation duo works together to ensure a cleaner, protected space, with TerraBlock providing reliable insulation while CleanSpace's heavy-duty 20-mil liner helps keep out moisture, debris, and rodents. Last but not least, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed. This small but mighty powerhouse automatically maintains humidity levels around 55%, which ensures no excess moisture, mold, or rot can interfere with the health of the home. The water was gone, and every part of the crawl space now works together, making sure this home stays protected from the water problems that once lingered below.
