Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Installing a Perimeter Drainage System in the Crawl Space- Corvallis, OR

This homeowner gave John's a call after seeing how much water was in their crawl space, which was starting to cause issues such as high humidity levels, musty and damp odors and attracting rodents. Knowing that John's can properly address these issues, they scheduled their free visit with us. We went out and thoroughly inspected the crawl space, and after assessing, we met with the homeowner to discuss the best options that will not only address these problems but will also be within their spending budget. To start this project, we removed the old vapor barrier that was caked in debris. Next, we dug a trench around the interior perimeter of the crawl space and in that trench we place a 3 inch perforated pipe into a silt sock that will secure a passage for the water to drain to the lowest point. At this low point we then install our SuperSump Plus that will collect all of the water that enters and pump it outside of the home, away from the foundation. Outside we install our LawnScape Outlet which is our grated drain that allows water to pass through while keeping debris out of the discharge line. To create exterior access into the crawl space we then install our EverLast door that adapts to all weather conditions. Along with the EverLast door, we place our EverLast access well. Lastly to finish this project we install our 6 mil thick vapor barrier to protect the space. Now that this partial waterproofing system is installed, these homeowners will not be having further issues with water intrusion. Down the line when they are ready, a transition into a full waterproofing system will be smooth.
