Homeowners called John's Waterproofing for a free inspection after seeing our fabulous work at a home show. We sent one of our Design Specialists out to the home to see how we could help. Down below, the crawl space was suffering. Dust, water, and debris had accumulated, causing silent but serious damage. We discussed our findings with the homeowners and created a plan that would fit within their budget while helping protect their home.
This waterproofing project started with the removal of all debris and the worn-out vapor barrier. Next, the crew dug a trench along the interior perimeter where a Perferated Pipe was laid to collect water and direct it to a freshly installed TripleSafe. From the sump pump, a discharge line was connected and routed outside the home, beneath the deck and through the soil, to a LawnScape outlet that safely directs water away from the foundation. Once the hard work was complete, a brand-new 6-mil vapor barrier was installed across the crawl space floor, helping keep moisture contained in the soil and creating a cleaner and drier space beneath the home.
Dirty Crawl Space
Dust and dirt had taken over this crawl space and created a grimy environment beneath the home.
Old Sump Pump
The old sump pump was buried beneath dirt and the worn-out vapor barrier, the machine itself was clogged with silt and sediment.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
A TripleSafe sump pump was installed to collect water from the crawl space, providing multiple lines of defense with 3 separate pumps inside.
Discharge Line
A discharge line connected to the sump pump was routed underneath the deck and through the soil to safely carry water away from the home.
LawnScape Outlet
The installed discharge line leads to a LawnScape Outlet, which blends into the yard and flushes water out and away from the home.
Finished Crawl Space
The crawl space was finally complete and protected from water with a new sump pump and vapor barrier.
