This large crawl space had standing water, and debris. The vapor barrier was torn, and no sump pump was in sight, leaving the crawl space vulnerable to moisture. It needed saving, and fast! John's design specialists worked closely with the homeowners to construct a plan that would protect their home for years to come, all while staying within their budget.
The waterproofing project included the removal of all debris and standing water. Once the space was clean, a trench was dug along the interior perimeter to install a Perf Pipe. This drainage system allows water seeping in from the ground or walls to be directed toward a sump pump. A SuperSump Plus was then installed, finally adding the missing piece to this crawl space puzzle. To top it all off, a new 6-mil vapor barrier was laid down across the dirt floor, helping keep moisture trapped in the soil below. With the crawl space cleaned up, waterproofed, and protected, this home is ready to stay dry and healthy.
