Little did these homeowners know, their crawl space was in desperate need of saving. They reached out to John's Waterproofing after seeing an ad for our free inspections, and we scheduled their free inspection. After a design specialist inspected the space and saw what was going on, it was clear we needed to act quickly. An encapsulation was put on the calendar- the day we would save their home.  When our waterproofing crew arrived, they immediately got to work below the home. We first dug a trench along the interior perimeter of the crawl space, where a Perf Pipe was inserted to catch water and direct it to a sump pump. Next came the installation of a TripleSafe sump pump, placed in the lowest point of the crawl space to ensure minimal resistance for water from the Perf Pipe. From there, a discharge line was connected and led to a LawnScape Outlet, a grate that sits flush with the yard and carries collected water far away from the home's foundation. Heavy-duty vent covers were installed over each pesky exterior vent to ensure no moisture, pests, or rodents could enter. SilverGlo wall panels were attached to the foundation walls to reflect heat into the space, while TerraBlock, a thick foam insulation, was laid across the dirt floor and topped with CleanSpace; a 20-mil vapor barrier. The cherry on top was the addition of a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, which automatically maintains relative humidity levels around 55% to protect the space from mold and mildew. What started as a simple act of curiosity after seeing an ad turned out to be the saving grace this home needed.
