Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Professional Crawl Space Waterproofing is Essential - Camas, WA
This crawl space was sopping wet in several areas, which had allowed mold and bacteria to thrive for many years - creating toxic air not only beneath the home, but also inside of it. This is because 40% of interior air, comes from below. Crawl spaces that are wet and neglected, directly effect the health of the family inside of the home, especially those with asthma, allergies, or respiratory conditions. If you've noticed yourself or someone else living in your home suffering from discomfort, the issue may have been your crawl space all along. Give John's a call today, and we will quickly get a home visit scheduled with one of our expert design specialists, who will enter your crawl space and thoroughly inspect the area for any signs of moisture, mold, rodents, etc. Upon inspection of this homes crawl space, our crews discovered large amounts of standing water, mold growth, and hanging/fallen subfloor insulation - all indicative of non-mediated water intrusion. In order to protect the stability of this home, and the health of this family, our design specialist recommended the installation of our Pipe, Pump, and Plastic system.
Our PPP System is a budget-friendly way to effectively protect your home from the terrible consequences of standing water. The homeowner agreed to this solution, and we scheduled the job. First, our crews removed all of the old and nasty debris from inside the crawl space, and then pumped all of the standing water out, and utilized industrial fans to dry out the entire space. Once the space was clean and dry, we installed perforated piping around the entire interior perimeter of the space, to catch all water intrusion. Once water is collected in the piping, it will be routed to a SuperSump Pump installed at the lowest point inside of the space. Upon reaching the pump, all collected water will be rapidly expelled far away from the home via an underground discharge line that we tied into the homes existing gutter rain drain line, for seamless water removal and protection of the home. The final step in the installation of our PPP System is the placement of a fresh, 6 Mil Vapor Barrier over the entire dirt floor, as well as up onto the foundation walls, to prevent water from seeping in. Living in the PNW, we are no stranger to rainfall, and neither are our homes. It is absolutely imperative to equip your home with professional waterproofing capabilities to ensure the structure remains stable, and your family remains safe and healthy.
