Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Tidying Up the Crawl Space - Woodinville, WA

This crawl space was a damp and dusty nightmare. Homeowners inquired with John's Waterproofing about a free inspection, and we scheduled someone to go out. After one of our design specialists took a peek down below the home, we immediately knew what to do. The crawl space suffered from groundwater pooling overtop the old vapor barrier, and multiple wooden posts were suffering from the amount of water they were absorbing. A plan was created alongside the homeowners to best fit within their budget and save the crawl space from further damage, and the date to install the system was set. Our waterproofing experts got straight to work, with a trench dug around the interior perimeter of the crawl space. A Perf Pipe was installed in that trench to direct excess water towards the sump pump. A TripleSafe sump pump was installed next to take that collected water and expel it out of the home with a discharge line. At the end of the discharge line was a LawnScape Outlet, a grate that sits flush with the yard, safely discharging the water far from the foundation. After that, galvanized steel SmartJacks replaced faulty, floating wooden support posts, restoring stability to the home. Lastly, a fresh 6-mil vapor barrier was anchored across the dirt floor to trap moisture from rising into the space. Our work was completed, and now the homeowners have a clean and protected space, giving the crawl space the love it needed.
