Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Professional and Effective Subfloor Repair and Crawl Space Waterproofing - Tigard, OR
This homeowner had been dealing with sloped and bouncy floors inside of her home for many years. These findings are highly indicative of a crawl space that is not properly waterproofed, leaving the structure of the home highly vulnerable to water damage. This is where John's comes in! Our crews stabilized this homes sagging subfloor, and wet crawl space into a dry, clean, and stable area, providing this family with a comfortable home where they can thrive. The transformation of this crawl space involved 3 main steps.
Firstly, was a crawl space clean-out, this involves our crew cleaning out the entire crawl space, making sure to remove all debris. Secondly, we stabilized the space with the installation of 10 heavy-duty Steel SmartJacks to replace all rotten, original wooden subfloor posts. Our SmartJacks are installed inside of the crawl space, to offer permanent, even support of the subfloor. Installation of these immediately restores structural integrity to homes, returning interior floors to level, and creates an overall more comfortable living experience. Lastly, is the installation of our Pipe, Pump, Plastic. This waterproofing system effectively protects the home from standing water. A 3" perforated piping is installed along the interior perimeter of the space, to catch and route all water intrusion to a SuperSump Pump, for expulsion far away from the home through an underground discharge line. Following this, a fresh 6 Mil vapor barrier was placed to cover the entire dirt floor, as well as the foundation walls to prevent water from seeping in. After our crews transformed and waterproofed this homes crawl space, the family was delighted by the level, sturdy flooring inside of their home, and they were very please to know the crawl space below was protected against standing water issues.

Tilting of Subfloor Posts
Many of the original wooden subfloor posts had tilted and shifted out of place, creating sloped and bouncy interior flooring.
