Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Transformation in Corvallis, OR
This homes crawl space needed some professional attention. The homeowners called up John's Waterproofing since they knew the problem was more than they could handle on there own. From puddles of water, to falling insulation and high heating and cooling bills, there was lots of room for improvement. To really get a solution for their space, they decided to move forward with a full encapsulation. To begin we had to dry the space out, and remove the old vapor barrier and fiberglass. We then installed a full interior perimeter drain system with a TripleSafe sump pump. These will work together to safely move the groundwater safely away from the home. We then laid down TerraBlock insulation over the dirt floor and sealed the vents shut. CleanSpace was installed next, this is a 20 Mil woven vapor barrier that is sealed into the space so moisture doesn't creep in. A SaniDry dehumidifier is installed next, which keeps the spaces relative humidity at a safe level so mold and mildew won't be able to grow here. And to finish we applied spray foam insulation along the foundation walls.
