Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: A Brand New Crawlspace - Beaverton- OR
This homeowner noticed water puddles in their crawlspace and wanted a trustworthy company to fix the problem, so they called up John's Waterproofing Company to get the job done. John's Waterproofing has over 50 years of experience in crawlspace repair. We sent one of our system design specialist to give a free inspection and estimate, once he assessed the findings he met up with the homeowner and they decided an encapsulation was the best solution. To start this project we begin by removing the debris, including the old damaged vapor barrier and fiberglass insulation. A trench is dug around the interior perimeter of the crawlspace using a jack hammer, a three inch perforated pipe is laid down into a silt sock to create a safe passage to drain the water into the lowest spot where a SuperSump Plus sump pump is installed. A discharge line is placed outside to drain the water away from the foundation. The next step is to install our TerraBlock system directly onto the dirt floor of the crawlspace, this creates an insulated barrier between the home and the earth. Our CleanSpace system is installed directly on top of the TerraBlock and goes up to the foundation walls. This is sealed with waterproof tape against the footing of the wooden posts. All vents in the crawlspace are sealed with our vent covers to ensure there is no outside air coming in. To control the environment within the crawl space we install our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier which eliminates damp and musty conditions by drying and filtering the air. This dehumidifier will promote healthy clean air for the entire home. Lastly, we spray foam on the foundation walls up to the rim joists, ensuring this crawlspace is fully air sealed.
