Our crawl space waterproofing systems are designed to prevent water from seeping into the crawl space. One of our systems includes the Pipe Pump Plastic method. This is a more budget-friendly waterproofing system that helps control the passage of water and sends it away from the homes foundation. It begins by installing a drainage system. A perforated pipe is installed along the interior perimeter of the crawl space. Its job is to collect water that tries to enter the space, either from the walls or rising groundwater, and safely direct it to a sump pump. Once that water is collected from the pipe, it gets deposited into the container of a TripleSafe sump pump. This is a three-pump system that is capable of controlling hundreds of gallons of water and safely pushing it out of the crawl space and away from the homes foundation. It even is equipped with a backup battery-operated pump in the instance of a power outage the crawl space will still remain dry. After the drainage system is installed and there is control of water, then we install a 6 mil vapor barrier. This goes along the floor of the space, up the foundation walls, and between the footing and wooden posts to isolate and protect against water damage. This liner is overlapped at each seam to ensure water can't seep over top of it and is anchored to the foundation walls to keep it in place.
