Sump Pumps Photo Album: Homeowners Losing Usable Space - Eugene, OR
Due to heavy rainy seasons, this homeowner's basement was experiencing extreme water intrusion. No matter what they did to try and stop it, the water was always capable of seeping through the foundation and flooding the space. Tired of not being able to use their basement the way they had hoped, the homeowner reached out to John's Waterproofing for solutions. We informed the homeowner that a basement waterproofing system would be able to control the passage of water and prevent it from continuing to seep through. To begin this process, we first had to jackhammer a trench along the interior perimeter of the basement. This is for a WaterGuard drainage pipe to be installed into. WaterGuard is capable of collecting any water that tries to seep in through the foundation walls or from the ground. It sits at the footing of the basement and is lined with gravel for easy filtration without clogging. Once it is fully installed, the WaterGuard connects to a SuperSump Plus sump pump. The sump pump goes at the lowest point in the basement and takes all the collected water and pumps it out. With its heavy duty Zoeller pump, the SuperSump Plus can control the intrusion to safely push the water out of the basement and away from the homes foundation. After the drainage system is fully installed, we ensure to cover it with concrete so that homeowners can enjoy a discreet drainage system. Now, this homeowner is beyond pleased that they can actually use their basement again without the threat of another rainy season.
