This homes crawlspace had a critter issue. The homeowners had to stock and clean out mouse traps. After doing this for a short while, they wanted a long term solution so the critters would be deterred and they wouldn't have to worry about the smell of dead rodents. After some searching online, they opted to look into a crawlspace encapsulation. After a thorough inspection, the homeowners were ready to move forward. This are thrilled with how fresh and clean their crawlspace is, and are excited to no longer have to stress over rodent issues.
This home was having water coming through the hillside walls on their basement. To address this, they called up John's Waterproofing. We waterproofed along the walls using our WaterGuard Drainage System, installed a TripleSafe sump pump, SaniDry dehumidifier, and ThermalDry Radiant Wall system so they could finish over the walls.
Stagnant water in the crawl space causes issues for the home. This home had large puddles of water on top of their 6 mil vapor barrier, and the crawl space had very high levels of humidity which had to lead to mold being a common issue for the space. Once water is trapped on top of the vapor barrier, the only place for it to go is to wait until it evaporates, enters the air and then it can affect the wooden subfloor of the home. To better protect the home, John's Waterproofing was called in. While the owners were not ready to fully encapsulate the crawl space, they did know taking a step in the right direction was progress. They had us spot treat the space for mold and than install a pipe, pump, and plastic system. This system contains a full interior perimeter system which collects groundwater and channels it to a sump pump in the low point. This than ensures that water is diverted away from the home and it doesn't just end up on the vapor barrier.
This basement was taking on water, some of which was coming through the window. We installed a window well so that any water leaking in will be caught and drained out. Also featured in this picture is the SaniDry dehumidifier and our ThermalDry elite flooring.
This crawlspace entrance had cracks and was allowing water to enter under the home. We updated it to an EverLast Access Well with an EverLast doorway to keep water out and protect the homes foundation.
