This home had a nasty old sump pump that would clog and overflow. To get their crawl space cared for and ready for anything, John's Waterproofing was called in. We did a full encapsulation which includes installing a TripleSafe Sump Pump that is built to withstand the wet weather.
To keep peace of mind, this homeowner was ready to have a whole home generator added onto their home. They called up John's Waterproofing, happy to hear we can do the entire sale and install in-house. We sent out crews to hook up the system and check it was all set. With the automatic transfer switch this homeowner can rest assured if the power goes off, the generator turns on!
Is your home storm ready? With insane weather changes, it's important to be prepared in the instance that a power outage occurs. At John's Waterproofing, we offer Cummins All Home Generators that are designed to be able to keep your home up and running even if the entire neighborhood loses power. This homeowner experienced a significant power outage in the past and didn't want to be in the dark for several days again. They reached out to John's Waterproofing about the benefits of getting a generator and how it would actually be able to power the entire household. Now, this homeowner feels more comfortable in their home knowing that they won't have to experience being in the dark again.
Keeping your crawl space dry is essential in maintaining a healthy home. As water seeps in, it will bring in outside dirt and debris that can rip the vapor barrier that's meant to protect against water damage. Once that water evaporates, it gets into the air and increases the humidity levels. Humidity is the amount of water in the air and as it increases it creates an environment for mold to grow, wood to rot, and eventual structural damage to occur. This cycle is what makes keeping water out of the crawl space so important so it doesn't cause damage to your home and strange smells in the living spaces. At John's Waterproofing, we recommend getting your crawl space fully encapsulated to prevent unwanted water from being able to seep through. An encapsulation involves clearing out the falling insulation and damaged vapor barrier. Then, we install a drainage system, TerraBlock insulation, and a CleanSpace vapor barrier. Once these are all installed, homeowners experience a noticeable difference in air quality, energy efficiency, and overall comfortability. By encapsulating the crawl space, there is control over the environment in the crawl space and protection to your home's overall health.
This crawlspace had massive amounts of water, mold, fallen insulation, rodent activity and dust. Our teams came in and removed the water and did a full clean out of the space to remove; fallen insulation, rodents and to prepare the space for finishing. A full perimeter drain, dehumidifier, clean space vapor barrier, and spray foam insulation were installed.
This space is now clean, dry and usable for years to come.
