This homes downspouts had a slight extender, but it was just dumping water in the yard, causing the yard to flood and water mold to grow in the downspout tube. To address this issue we dug a trench along the side of the home, extended the downspout into the ground and installed a pipe system to safely send the water away from the foundation to a LawnScape outlet.
This basement was semi-finished with some rooms left bare for general storage, and others finished for a bedroom, craft room, and bathroom. Over the years, water began to come in through the foundation along the rim joist and the floorboards. It was a slow intrusion, but over time became water mold and an odd odor took hold of the space. To fix up the basement, we removed the damaged portions of the basement walls and flooring. A full parameter WaterGuard drainage system was installed to collect water and grade it to a TripleSafe sump pump. On the unfinished walls we installed CleanSpace panels, and the finished spaces we insulated with a ThermalDry radiant barrier. Our finishing crew came out afterwards to re-finish the livable spaces for the homeowners to enjoy once more.
This customer had a finished basement that was used for kids living space, but without the proper waterproofing system in place they started to get water seepage and leaks down in the kids’ bedrooms! This was destroying their stuff and leaving it an unsafe place to dwell in. Our team came out and put in a full WaterGuard system and put in our Thermaldry Wall system which will help reflect heat and make the room much warmer for the kids as well. The homeowners chose to finish the basement themselves so we set up the basement for them to finish over.
As you can see in the photos, encapsulating your crawl space with the CleanSpace vapor barrier protects the structure of your home from mold and dampness.
The crawlspace of this home had evidence of critters living there, and the homeowners were looking to keep them out. As our design specialists discussed options we learned that the home had oddly high energy bills as well. To combat both the vermin and energy costs we did a full encapsulation with our crawlspace-specific insulation. This home will now be dry and healthy.
