Our team installed a Super Sump pump in this homeowner's basement to manage the water coming in from the walls.
This Crawlspaces old sump pump had been a DIY tutorial job, and while it might have worked with a small amount of water, it was unable to withstand the water this home faced, causing it to overflow and cover the vapor barrier that was present. We upgraded this system with a perimeter perforated pipe system, a TripleSafe sump pump, and a new vapor barrier.
This home's sump pump had been installed by the homeowner but with a pump that had been purchased at a hardware store. While this can work out, this crawlspace had more water than this pump could handle. To ensure the system could keep up with the water, we updated this to a TripleSafe sump pump with a CleanSpace vapor barrier and spray foam on the walls.
This crawlspace had water flooding and mold present with falling insulation. To remedy this issue, the homeowners opted for a full crawlspace encapsulation to keep this home dry and healthy.
When buying a store bought sump pump, many issues can occur. For this home, it couldn't keep up with the groundwater issues and the excess moisture was getting absorbed into the old fiberglass insulation and mildew was taking hold. To upgrade the system we did a full encapsulation.
