Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Waterproofing Leaky Basement - Anacortes, WA
The owners of this home were sick and tired of their belongings being ruined by a leaky basement, so they began looking online for the best local waterproofing company. During their research, they discovered John's, and were pleased with the many 5-Star Reviews that previous customers had left. They called our office, and we got them on our schedule with one of our Design Specialists. After greeting the homeowners upon his arrival, he began his thorough inspection of their basement. He understood immediately what their issue was - a leaky basement caused by hydrostatic pressure build up against the exterior of the basement walls, as well as a downward slope into their basement that sent rain water flowing directly inside of the home. He also noted that their basement had 2 original floor drains, that were not functioning. He presented the homeowners with a customized repair plan, recommending the installation of both our WaterGuard and TrenchDrain Systems.
When our crew arrived at the home, they got straight to work in the basement! First, they cut a narrow trench into the concrete basement floor, right up against the bottom of the leaking basement walls. Inside of the trench, they placed our WaterGuard drain system, to catch all wall-water intrusion. Next, they dug 2 more narrow trenches - one right in front of the basement door, and another surrounding the original, non-functioning floor drains. Inside of these trenches, they laid our TrenchDrain Basins, which will collect all rain water. After installing both of these systems, our crew poured new concrete around them, flush with the existing floor, to hold them in place and to provide structural stability. All of the water collected in the WaterGuard, as well as TrenchDrain, will be routed to a TripleSafe Sump Pump, pumping the water safely away from the home via a discharge line buried underneath the ground by our crew. At the end of the line, we attached a LawnScape outlet, to evenly disperse the expelled water into the lawn. Thanks to the installation of our WaterGuard and TrenchDrain Systems, all leaks into this basement will be immediately caught, and pumped away from the home, promising a dry and healthy basement for many years to come! Upon the completion of this job, our Customer Satisfaction Specialist reached out to the homeowner to ensure they were pleased with the work completed by Johns. The homeowners expressed satisfaction with the waterproofing systems, and stated that their basement was cleaner than it has been in a long time.
