Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Installing a Basement Waterproofing System in Lincoln City, OR
Water was entering this home through the foundation and began to cause damage to this homes basement. Worried about their personal belongings as well as long term effects on their property, they decided to give us a call and schedule their free visit. We went out and found that there was significant damage to the foundation walls as well as a strong odor due to the water intrusion. We met with the homeowner after thoroughly inspecting the basement and went over what the best options were to permanently solve this problem for them. After reviewing the repair plan and addressing the owners questions and concerns, we scheduled the project.
First, we use a jackhammer to create a trench around the interior perimeter, then in that trench we add clean gravel rock, on top of which we install our WaterGuard perimeter drainage. This system will gather water that enters, both groundwater and water from the walls and channel it to the lowest point of the basement. We concrete over the system to create a discreet look. This home had an exterior door that lead into the basement so we install our TrenchDrain system that is placed in front of the door on the interior and is connected to the WaterGuard system to prevent water from entering. At the lowest point we install our TripleSafe Sump that will collect all of the water that enters and pump it outside of the home, away from the foundation through a discharge line. Since these homeowners are going to refinish this space, we install our ThermalDry Wall system. Not only does this system help with keeping the basement at a healthy temperature, but it will also direct water from the walls and channel it down to the perimeter drainage system. To keep the spaces relative humidity in a healthy range, a SaniDry dehumidifier is installed, removing excess moisture. Now that this basement is waterproofed, these homeowners can finish this space worry free of any water intrusion creating any issues.
