Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Water Intrusion Into Basement - Woodburn, OR
Water leaking into, and pooling inside of basements is not only a frustrating issue - it is also an infliction that can cause substantial structural damage over time; eroding foundations, walls, and floors. Additionally, persistent moisture inside of homes threatens the overall health of families by creating an unhealthy air quality stemming from the growth of mold, mildew, and bacteria. In order to protect the structural integrity of your home, as well as the health of your loved ones, John's proudly offers the professional installation of the most effective basement waterproofing systems available. After one of our highly experienced Design Specialists completed a thorough inspection of this homes basement, he created a customized job proposal, detailing his recommendations regarding the best ways to waterproof the basement.
To install this system, our crew first cuts a narrow trench into the concrete basement floor, right up against the leaking basement walls, to hold the WaterGuard Collection Tunnels. These Tunnels will catch all wall water intrusion, and route it down to the lowest point, into an awaiting TripleSafe Sump Pump, which will expel the water safely away from the home via an underground discharge line. Our TripleSafe Sump Pump is a 3-pump-in-1 system, where each individual pump is activated if the one ahead of it fails, or is overwhelmed by water volume. The 3rd and final pump is fully battery operated, ensuring functionality even in the event of a power outage. This professional-grade pump system gives homeowners absolute peace of mind in knowing that their home is protected from water intrusion. To provide power to the TripleSafe, our Electrical Division installs a dedicated electrical circuit for the operation of this machine. To hold the WaterGuard and TripleSafe firmly in place, our crew pours fresh concrete around the systems, returning structural stability to the basement floor. In addition to the WaterGuard System, our BrightWall Paneling System is installed directly onto the basement walls, creating a waterproof barrier preventing water intrusion from entering the basement, sending all water directly down its back side, and into the WaterGuard below. BrightWall will never rot, warp, or discolor, and the durable panels prevent humidity and water vapor from entering the home, helping the family live in a healthier environment. These wall panels reflect light, to help basements appear brighter, cleaner, and more welcoming, while protecting the structure of the home from the devastating affects of water intrusion and damage. To finish, we install a SaniDry dehumidifier to remove excess moisture from the air to ensure this space remains dry, stable, and healthy.
Evidence of Water Intrusion Into Basement
Inside of this basement, the concrete floor, as well as the foundation walls were stained, dark, and eroding from years of persistent moisture.
Wet Soil Along Foundation Wall
When soil along exterior foundation walls is very wet, that moisture commonly leaks through the walls, and into the home. Professionally waterproofed basements prevent this moisture from entering the home.
