This home had a finished daylight basement that was experiencing a water issue. We dispatched a design specialist to look over the space, working with the homeowner to map out a repair plan. Once the system was designed, we scheduled the work with one of our highly trained crews. When our crew arrived to begin waterproofing this basement, they began by removing the damaged perimeter walls, flooring, and framing. We than attached ThermalDry Wall Sheeting directly onto the leaking foundation walls. ThermalDry is a double-sided, waterproof barrier, that prevents water from entering the basement, while reflecting heat back into homes to save homeowners money on energy costs. If water enters the basement walls, it will be sent cascading down the back of the ThermalDry, down into the WaterGuard Collection Tunnels installed in a trench cut into the concrete floor beneath the leaking walls. In case of ground water intrusion through the floor, we installed leech lines to bisect the room, collecting water that previously would rise up through the floor. We also installed our dimpled drainage matt along the baseboards of the foundation walls  to aid in efficient drainage of that water into the WaterGuard. With the walls and floor now waterproofed, all wall and ground water intrusion will be collected in the WaterGuard, and routed down to the lowest point, into a heavy-duty sump pump. This pump will remove the water, ensuring that it is pumped away from the home via an underground discharge line. At the end of the discharge line, we attached a LawnScape Outlet to evenly disperse the water into the lawn. With this basement now professionally waterproofed, this family can finish the area how they please, and actually use the space as they intended.
