Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Water Entering Below Grade Area- Beaverton, OR
This homeowner gave us a call after noticing that their basement and garage were having issues with water intrusion and they wanted to find a permanent solution to keep their home dry and stable. Part of the basement was finished, but the drywall was squishy along the baseboards indicating an issue was occurring behind the walls. After discussing the best options and game plan with them, we began. First we created a trench around the perimeter of the basement and garage and in that trench we installed our WaterGuard drainage system which will collect water from the walls as well as the groundwater, directing it to the lowest point. This drain system is concreted over to provide a discreet look for the system. At the low point we install our TripleSafe Sump system that will gather all of the water that enters and pump it away from the house through a discharge line. Along the walls to offer a semi-finished look we installed our BrightWall system that will help direct moisture down into the WaterGuard. Since part of the basement was to be refinished, we installed the ThermalDry system on these. This allows water to safely travel down the walls and provides a thermal break to keep the space more comfortable. Finally we install our SaniDry XP Dehumidifier to eliminate damp and musty odors and keep the space at a healthy relative humidity. Now that we've installed our waterproofing system these homeowners can be sure that their home is protected from water intrusion.
