Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Addressing Basement Water Intrusion in Portland, OR
This basement had water entering through the foundation and was pooling beneath the tiles on the floor. This was causing damage to the flooring and emitting damp odors all throughout the finished basement. These homeowners gave us a call and we went out to address the problems and find them a reliable, permanent solution that will ensure a dry, stable, and healthy basement. We began the project by removing all the flooring that was damaged and creating a trench around the interior perimeter in which we installed our WaterGuard perimeter drainage system. This will collect water from the foundation walls, as well as ground water and directing it to the lowest point. This system is then concreted over to provide a discreet look. At the low point we install our TripleSafe sump which gathers all of the water and pumps it outside of the home through a discharge line. Our LawnScape outlet is placed outside, connected to the discharge line. This grated drain will allow water to pass through while keeping debris out of the line. Since this basement is going to be refinished, along the walls we install our ThermalDry Radiant Barrier that will direct any water down into the perimeter drainage system while keeping the space at a comfortable temperature. Now that this waterproofing system is in place, these homeowners can now refinish this basement confidently without worrying about any water intrusion.
