When walking around their finished basement, these homeowners noticed a damp, squishy feeling under their feet. To investigate the problem, they pulled back the carpet and discovered water seepage from the walls. When a call came in to John's Waterproofing, we reassured them not to fret and that we would save their home in no time. Once a plan was in place, the day came to start the project, and our crew did not hesitate. Waterproofing Experts entered the basement and first excavated a trench along the perimeter. In this trench, a WaterGuard drainage system was placed. Then, a ThermalDry wall system was attached throughout the basement to radiate heat back into the living space while directing wall seepage into the WaterGuard system. Lastly, in a location hidden from the public eye, a TripleSafe sump pump was installed to efficiently pump collected water out of the home. Now that this basement was waterproofed, the homeowners would be able to refinish and enjoy their dry living area in peace.

Covered WaterGuard
After the WaterGuard drainage system is installed, concrete is poured and smoothed over it to conceal the system, maintain a clean look, and allow for flooring to be put on top.

The TripleSafe sump pump features three lines of defense against water intrusion with multiple pumps, providing reliable backup in case of heavy water or power outages.
WaterGuard and ThermalDry Installation
A trench is excavated, and a WaterGuard drainage system is installed to collect water seepage and send it to the sump pump. ThermalDry is installed along the foundation walls to help insulate the space and can be covered over with finishing walls.
