Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Water Intrusion in Basement - Canby, OR
During this basement renovation, this homeowner noticed signs of water intrusion. Knowing that this could cause a bigger issue down the line if not addressed permanently, they called us up and scheduled their free visit. We went out and thoroughly assessed the basement. Afterwards, we met with the homeowner to go over the best options to give them results they can trust. First we installed our WaterGuard. This is a perimeter drainage system that collects water from the walls as well as ground water and will drain it to the lowest point. At the low point we install our TripleSafe Sump that will gather all of the water and pump it out of the home through a discharge line away from the foundation. This whole system is then concreted over, only leaving the inspection ports visible to create a discreet look. Since this basement is going to be finished, we also removed the parts of the perimeter walls that were water damaged and install our ThermalDry system along the foundation walls. This radiant barrier is going to help direct moisture down into the perimeter drainage system as well as keep the space at a comfortable temperature. To complete the system we place a SaniDry dehumidifier to maintain a healthy relative humidity throughout the space. Now that this basement waterproofing system is installed, this homeowner can now confidently finish this basement remodel knowing that it will remain dry, stable and healthy.
