Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Water Flooding Basement During Rainy Seasons - Portland, OR
Back in 2024, this homeowner reached out to John's Waterproofing about stopping water from entering their basement every time it rains. They had applied a 'waterproof' paint along the walls and floor, but these were just cracking and weren't able to actually provide a solution to their water issues. Then, they changed their minds because it stopped raining and they hoped the problem would just go away on its own. But in 2025, they reached back out informing us that water was still flooding into their basement and they were ready to solve this problem permanently. Our basement waterproofing system begins by installing a drainage system. WaterGuard is a drainage pipe that gets installed along the interior perimeter of the basement. It acts as a safe passageway to collect and guide water to be sent out of the basement. It sits along the footing of the basement and is lined with gravel to help easily filter water through and avoid clogging. Once the WaterGuard is installed, then we install a TripleSafe sump pump. This three-pump system is designed to be able to collect and push out mass volumes of water. It pushes the water out of the basement and away from the homes foundation through a discharge line. With this drainage system installed, their can be control over the water trying to enter the basement and it has a way of being sent out so no more flooding with occur. We also installed a CleanSpace wall vapor barrier along the basement walls. This vapor barrier is made with thick woven fibers to help prevent water from being able to seep through. It is backed by a 25 year warranty against rips and tears. We then installed a SaniDry dehumidifier to handle any excess moisture within the air. After this system in fully installed, the homeowner won't have to worry about another rainy season because water will stay out.

WaterGuard Connected to TripleSafe.
The WaterGuard connects to the TripleSafe sump pump so that it can send the water to the sump pump and safely be pushed out of basement and away from the homes foundation.
