Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Water Discovered When Finishing a Daylight Basement - Welches, OR
This daylight basement was getting a full finishing upgrade. While getting the work started, water was discovered. The contractor recommended a full waterproofing system to ensure the work would be protected. We sent out a design specialist to do a full inspection and put together a solution. To begin we dug a trench around the interior perimeter, installing clean gravel and WaterGuard. We also install inspection ports periodically so the system can safely be checked and maintained. The WaterGuard collects water and channels it to the lowest point of the basement, where a TripleSafe sump pump then diverts the water safely away from the homes foundation. Along the walls we than installed out ThermalDry radiant vapor barrier, this provides a thermal break and ensures water can safely travel down the wall to collect in the drain system. This system can safely be finished overtop of. As the final waterproofing protection we install a SaniDry dehumidifier, working to ensure the spaces relative humidity remains within a healthy range. Now this space is waterproofed properly and the owners can proceed with their home project safely.
Cracked Paint Along the Basement Walls
The basement walls had a 'waterproof' paint on them, which had bubbled, cracked, and was letting water through
Inspection Port
Near the wall we install inspection ports to allow the system to be maintained, once finished, these will rest behind the walls, and a small accessway will be installed.
Sump Pump Installation
A sump pump is installed to collect the water and safely send it away from the homes foundation.
