Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Creating a Dry Basement in Albany, OR

This homeowner noticed a water intrusion occurring in their basement. They reached out to John's to get a free inspection. After our system design specialist thoroughly inspected this basement, he met with the homeowner and went over some options to find the best solution. After chatting and having their questions answered, the homeowner went ahead with the project. We begin by using a jackhammer to dig a trench around the interior perimeter of the crawl space. We then lay fresh gravel into the trench and our WaterGuard drainage system was installed on top. This will help collect the water from the walls as well as groundwater and safely direct it to the lowest point. The system is then concreted over to provide a discreet look. At the low point we install our TripleSafe system, which will pump all of this collected water outside of the home via a discharge line. Outside, our LawnScape outlet is connected to this discharge line. This is a grated drain that will allow water to pass through but will keep debris out of the line. We also install our TrenchDrain system at the exterior doorway to prevent water from entering the space. Next, we installed our CleanSpace wall vapor barrier, which safely allows water to travel down the walls to collect in the drain system. To keep the environment controlled, we install our SaniDry XP which is our effective dehumidifier that will eliminate damp and musty odors by drying and filtering the air.  With this perimeter drainage system now installed, these homeowners can now have peace of mind when finishing their basement.
